Multi agency course calendar

The HSCB training programme is for practitioners and volunteers who work predominately with, or who are in regular contact with, children and young people.

Harrow LSCB Upcoming Training 2017-2018

Those wishing to apply for the training must begin by undertaking either the ‘Everyone’s Responsibility’ (1 day) or the Level 2 e-learning course offered via our learning pool – the HSCB Training Pathway will guide you as to which of these initial courses is most suitable for your role.

Following the completion of the initial course, applicants will be able to apply for the HSCB Specialist Courses.

Training for Chaperones

Harrow Council runs a training course for Chaperones; this covers child employment legislation and safeguarding good practice and is delivered by Ed Magee, Chair of the London Child Employment Network.

Training is free to Harrow chaperones but a £30 charge will apply for non-attendance or failure to give 48 hours’ notice of non-attendance – (the Chaperone licence will be suspended until the £30 charge is received at Harrow, therefore Chaperones will not be able to work as a chaperone during this time; Harrow will not be responsible for any lost earnings).

Individual chaperones from other boroughs may attend for a small fee – please email for more information.

Training takes place at Harrow Civic Centre, close to Harrow & Wealdstone and Harrow-on-the-Hill stations.
