Harrow LSCB has introduced remote desktop training (E-learning) for professionals who work with children and young people but have difficulty attending LSCB training.

There are 2 options available with different levels of training these are: Level 1 Remote desktop training and Level2: Introduction to safeguarding children and young people.

Level 1 Remote Desktop (E-learning) Training

This desk based module is for any employee/volunteer who needs to complete Level One Child Protection training. This includes everyone who works with children and young people plus staff/ volunteers in infrequent contact with children, young people and/or their parents/carers who may become aware of possible abuse or neglect. For example, librarians, GP receptionists, community advice centre staff, groundsmen, recreation assistants or environmental health officers.

Level 2: Introduction to safeguarding children and young people

This module is designed to give you an introduction to Safeguarding and Child Protection. It is aimed at anyone who comes into contact with children as part of their day to day work.

In safeguarding children, we cannot afford to be complacent – Child Sexual Exploitation is taking place in Harrow.  Anyone in Harrow working with children, young people and vulnerable young adults should know what the signs are, who is more at risk and how to seek appropriate support or make a referral. We now have a FREE E-learning tool to support this awareness raising.

NEW: Preventing Radicalisation E-Learning

The home Office have created some new E-learning for Prevent as there is new Guidance (March 2016). This is introductory training. It provides a foundation on which to develop further knowledge around the risks of radicalisation and the roles involved in supporting those at risk.
